Position: Data Engineer and Science
> Department: Strategy and Analytics  
> Unit: Data Engineer and Science
> Requirement: 1
> Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
> Develop and deploy AI/ML models, in line with business requirements to bring business efficiency.
> Data Exploration and Cleaning  Acquire, preprocess, and clean large datasets to ensure data quality and integrity; Explore and understand the structure and patterns within the data.
> Statistical Analysis  Apply statistical techniques to analyse data and extract meaningful insights; identify trends, correlations, and patterns to support decisionmaking.
> Machine Learning Modelling  Develop and implement machine learning models to solve specific business problems; Evaluate and finetune models for optimal performance.
> Predictive Modelling  Build predictive models to forecast trends and outcomes; Assess model accuracy and refine as needed based on feedback and results.
> Data Visualization  Create compelling visualizations to communicate complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders; Use tools like Tableau, or custom visualizations to present findings.
> Feature Engineering  Identify and engineer relevant features for model development; Optimize feature selection to enhance model performance.
> Algorithm Development  Develop and implement algorithms to solve specific business challenges.
> Model Deployment  Deploy models in production environment; Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring ongoing accuracy and relevance.
> Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
> Formulate an organizationwide AI execution roadmap.
> Support IT team to standardize data architecture; design of data lake and data warehouse tailored towards AI development and data democratization.
> Support different business functions by data driven innovation to drive efficiency in different business verticals.
> Provide actionable insights on specific business areas to support strategic decisions.
> Lead AI/ML support teams (including outsourced teams) to deliver and deploy multiple use cases (Analytics and AI/ML)
> Design, develop, and deliver training programs to enhance analytics skills, including but not limited to machine learning, data visualization, statistical analysis, and AI applications across organization for basic level orientation and upskilling of skillset across organization.

Functional Knowledge
> Proficient in big data technologies and tools like python, spark or any other development language to support automate on and use case development and distributed computing frameworks.
> Strong knowledge in statistics. Understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies including probability theory, hypothesis testing, regression analysis etc.
> Strong knowledge in ML and modelling  Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques; model development, training and evaluation.
> Strong knowledge in cleaning and preprocessing data, data wrangling tools and techniques needed for data science projects.
> Proficiency in exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns and trends along with data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights effectively.
> Experience with AI/ML development and operationalization. Should be familiar with AI platform design and operation.
> Ability in managing use cases and communicating their impact to stakeholders.
> Able to effectively communicate ideas and train other resources on domain of expertise.

Qualification and experience
> Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field/ relevant Professional Degree in Engineering 4 years of relevant experience
> Bachelor’s Degree computer science, IT or relevant field, 6 years of relevant experience
