Course Description:
PAHS' Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) curriculum emphasizes holistic care for the individual and community. The PAHS MBBS curriculum employs a variety of innovative strategies to prepare students to become doctors capable and willing to address Nepal's real health-care needs.
PAHS graduates who studied under a scholarship scheme are required to work in rural areas for a set period of time as part of their service obligation. The total duration of PAHS MBBS curriculum is five year and eight months.

Eligibility
- Must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized educational institution and passed with a minimum of 50 percent or 2.4 CGPA in the proficiency certificate level or Grade 12 Science group.
or
- Students from A-level or other similar programs with different grading systems should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and passed with a minimum of 50 percent or 2.4 CGPA.
or
- Proficiency Certificate or Diploma in Health Science (General Medicine or Medical Lab Technology or Ophthalmic Science or Dental Science or Pharmacy or Radiography or Ayurveda or Physiotherapy) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from the National Examination Board Must have obtained at least 50% or 2.4 CGPA marks and have obtained the equivalence of Grade 12th Science group and should be registered in the respective council.
Syllabus
The total duration of PAHS MBBS curriculum is six years. Different components of the curriculum along the six years are as follow:
Introductory course: 6 months
Basic Science course: 2 years
Clinical Course
> Junior Clinical Clerkship: 1.5 years
> Rural Rotation: 6 months
> Advanced Clinical Clerkship: 6 months
Internship: 6 Months
