Course Description:
A student can obtain an MA degree in English by taking 8 courses (of 8 credits each is equal to 64 credits) in all. (Five of these are compulsory). For the remaining three the student has a choice from a number of optional courses. Some more optional courses are under preparation.

M.A Second Year:
MEG-05 Literary Criticism and Theory (Compulsory)- 8 credits
MEG-07 Indian English Literature - 8 credits(Optional)
MEG-06 American Literature - 8 credits (Optional) MEG-08 New Literatures in English (Optional)
MEG-09 Australian Literature - 8 credits (Optional) MEG-11 American Novel - 8 credits (Optional)
A Student can take any three of the given optional courses.
