Course Description:
The Bachelor in Aviation Management is a four-year undergraduate program with a total of 120 credit hours designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to efficiently manage aviation operations, airlines, and airports. The course is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage aviation operations, airlines, and airports. This degree program covers a wide range of topics, including aviation law and regulations, aviation safety and security, air traffic control, airport planning and management, airline operations, aviation finance and economics, aviation marketing and sales, and human resources management.
The curriculum is designed to develop students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while providing practical training in managing aviation-related activities. Students will learn about the different aspects of aviation, including aviation technologies, equipment, and systems. They will also learn how to handle complex situations, work under pressure, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Objective of the program:
The objective of the Bachelor in Aviation Management course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and training required to manage and operate aviation-related activities effectively. The program aims to:\
> Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Nepali aviation industry, including its history, structure, technologies, and regulations.
> Equip students with essential management skills and knowledge to manage aviation operations, airlines, and airports.
> Provide students with practical training in aviation management to prepare them for real-world challenges.
> Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills in students to effectively manage aviation activities.
> Promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the aviation industry to contribute to its growth and development.
> Produce graduates who are ethically responsible, socially conscious, and contribute positively to society.

Eligibility
- Nepali or non-Nepali national with a 10+2 or intermediate or equivalent level study program of at least two-year duration in any discipline with minimum of 40% in aggregate or CGPA of 1.6 on the scale of 4.0 and minimum 'D+' grade in each subject from a university/board recognized by Kathmandu University.
- GCE Advanced Level students should have passed minimum three subjects in A Level and one general paper in AS Level with marks/grades requirements as mentioned above.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) students should have passed minimum 6 courses (at least 3 courses in Higher Level) with 24 points in aggregate.
- CTEVT students should have a three-year diploma with 40% in aggregate. CBSE students should have a minimum 40% in aggregate. Ten percent of the seats are reserved for foreign Students.
Admission Criteria
Students are required to give the Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test (KUUMAT) to gain admission for this program.
