Syllabus
The secret of success for any hospitality business is to provide a homogenous and consistently good service at all times. This makes the job of a hotel manager so much challenging. The curriculum, which is 122 credit hours, is divided into eight semesters. The course in the first and second semester starts with imparting psychomotor skills to the students in the labs along with their related knowledge in the classrooms. It transforms to interpersonal skills, which are must to work as a supervisor in the third and fourth semesters. Fifth and sixth semesters focus on the development of intellectual and analytical skills. The seventh semester is devoted to industrial placement, during which all the skills, work habits and behaviours so far learnt in the college are transferred in the real work environment and a wide angled perspective of the industry is developed. The last semester at the college grooms the students to consolidate the experiences gained in the industry by undertaking a comprehensive project work and they learn some advanced skills and knowledge, besides personality development for facing the selection interviews and other employment related issues.
