Course Description:
Pokhara University's BBA-Travel and Tourism program is a four-year, 123-credit-hour program. The curriculum expands your understanding of businesses, the overall business environment, and modern management methods. It also provides numerous opportunities to improve your management skills, including communication, interpersonal, leadership, information technology, and research, all of which are essential for success in today's global environment. You will then specialize in travel and tourism. During the program, you must complete one internship and one major project. Finally, in order to graduate from the BBA-Travel and Tourism program, you must select and complete two electives.
The mission of the BBA - TT program is to:
> Prepare graduates for leadership and professional positions in the tourism-travel industry
> Provide service to the global economy by providing well-qualified, ethically sensitive graduates
> Generate new knowledge in the industry through research.
Objectives of Bachelor of Business Administration in Travel and Tourism
The key objectives of this BBA-TT degree for undergraduates are as follows:
> To give managerial aptitudes and skills important to address the needs of the Tourism industry.
> To create basic knowledge and to enhance their diagnostic, critical thinking and choice making aptitudes.
> To give a wide understanding of the basic standards of administration related to this industry.
> To give instruments and management abilities to wind up their decision taking ability in the Travel and Tourism industry.
> To furnish the capacity to direct research and produce a superb exploration which includes the capacity to choose, characterize and center upon an issue at a proper level, to investigate the issue, to create suggestions and finalize conclusions.

BBA-TT program imparts sound academic and professional knowledge with sufficient industry exposure. This enables graduates to pursue Master level programs In Travel, Tourism, General Management and other programs as well.

The BBA-TT program prepares students for entry and middle-level management positions in travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and related industries.Similarly, the program provides students with solid conceptual and professional skills to launch independent professional careers and pursue entrepreneurship in the fields of travel and tourism.
Admission info
Eligibility for Admission
- +2 or proficiency certificate level or equivalent recognized by Pokhara University
- For the year 2078 and before, applicants must have minimum CGPA of 1.8 (At least D+ in each subject)
- For the year 2079 and then after, applicants must have minimum CGPA of 1.8 (At least D in each subject)
- Second division (45%) in percentage system.
Admission Procedure
Applicants are required to attend a 2-hour written test that assesses their Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness skills. The merit list will be published based on the combined scores of the written test and marks obtained from previous academic qualificatio.
Documents Required
> Completed application form along with two copies of passport-size photograph
> Transcripts and certificates of SLC/ SEE and + 2 (Photocopies of grade sheets of 11 and 12 will also be accepted but original transcripts and certificates must be submitted to the administration at the time of admission)
> Applicants who graduated from a foreign board must submit equivalency certificate as certified by NEB
Syllabus
Pokhara University's BBA-TT program is a four-year, 123-credit-hour program. In order to graduate from the BBA-TT program, students must complete 126 credit hours of course work, two internships, and one field work project. The courses are divided into Foundation, Core Business, Travel and Tourism, Concentration, and Electives.
