Course Description:
Department of Life Sciences under School of Science offers Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.) at Kathmandu University. This interdisciplinary program encompasses many different aspects of agriculture. Courses usually include the study of plant science, animal science, soil and pesticides, weed management, agricultural extension, ecology, natural resources management, horticulture, farming system and production technology.
Students who are keen to study agriculture science benefit from the broad nature of the field. The education gained with a bachelor offers advantages when seeking jobs in agricultural research, development and advocacy.
The aim of the program is to generate academically sound and practical oriented professional agriculturists. B.Sc.Ag. is an eight-semester (four-year) program after I.Sc. (Agriculture) or 10+2 (Science).

Admission info
Eligibility:
> Must have taken PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
> Minimum grade of C individually in each subject.
OR
> If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate in PCB and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

Curricular Structure
The total duration of B.Sc Agriculture program of Kathmandu University is eight semesters. Each year consists of two semesters.
Courses can be categorized into four broad themes: Basic courses, Agricultural courses, Workshops and Fieldwork, and Internship and Project work.
