Course Description:
Tribhuvan University's Master of Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM) program lasts two years and four semesters. This course was created with the goal of familiarizing students with the operations, packages, managerial functions, and management ideas associated with travel and tourism.
The Master of Travel and Tourism Management program is intended to improve the knowledge of tourism operations, products, managerial and management skills, as well as the understanding of professionals who are already working in the industry but do not have a collective and in-depth knowledge of tourism and its broader horizons that span the globe. It aspires to be globally savvy in marketing, operations, and other professionalized skills, keeping up with changing global market trends.
Objectives of Master in Travel And Tourism Management
The main objectives of MTTM degree are listed below:
> To provide advance theoretical knowledge, as having sound knowledge of this degree is very essential in the field of management.
> This course aspires to impart analytical and problem solving skills so as to cope with present and emerging challenges and helps to develop ability to innovate genuine solution for it.
> This course aspires to endow knowledge in students about conducting the empirical and applied research in the field of travel industry and also meet the challenges of this industry.
> This course aims to develop talent in students for taking leadership role and to act in response to concerns of travel industry.
Admission info
Eligibility
- BBM, BBA, BTTM, BBS, BPA, BMS or equivalents in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 with a letter grade 'B" or CGPA of 2.00 with letter grade 'C' (pass before 2021) or second division marks.
Students who are waiting for results of bachelor level can also apply. However, they have to submit a passed certificate at the time of admission.
Entrance Exam:
> Students must have to compulsorily appear in the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University.
> The entrance exam is based on the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) format.
> The merit list is published after couple of weeks of the exam.
> For detail information related to entrance, interested candidate should contact the college administration and can visit personally at the college as well.
Syllabus
Total course is four semesters of 60 credit hours carrying total of 1800 marks. Syllabus is an interdiscipline of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Economics and consists of Project Work and internships.
