Course Description:
LLM in Infrastructure and Law program aims to produce highly skilled specialists in legal and regulatory issues related to hydropower and other energy sector investments, as well as high-value infrastructure projects such as ropeways, highways, railways, tunnels, mass transit, and telecommunications.
Students will also gain expertise in project finance, regulatory regimes, and alternative dispute resolution.
Course Objective of LLM in Infrastructure and Law
> To provide students with an advanced set of legal skills and knowledge that will enhance their ability to serve their clients or organizations and establish them as experts in the field of energy and infrastructure law
> To enable students to conduct high-quality academic research and produce an original dissertation that meets the standards for publication in a peer-reviewed law journal.
To achieve these objectives, equal emphasis is placed on the coursework and dissertation. Students will engage in rigorous coursework to develop their professional legal skills and knowledge while also receiving guidance and support in developing a research project for their dissertation. The goal is for students to produce an original piece of research work that demonstrates their ability to engage in high-quality legal scholarship and contribute to the field of energy and infrastructure law.

Eligibility
> Completion of a five-year integrated BBM, LL.B, or BEC., LL.B. degree of Kathmandu University or any other equivalent undergraduate degree in law from any recognized university or institution with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate or a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5.
> Successful completion of the Entrance Examination
