The Pokhara Campus (PC) was established in 1981as a constituent Campus of Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University with technical and financial assistance from the World Bank, International Development Agency (IDA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Since its establishment, the Campus has aimed to produce competent and efficient forest and natural resource professionals by administering well designed educational programs in academic environment conducive to fulfilling students’ quest for knowledge and pragmatic skills through their involvement in course work and research activities. Today, we are offering a four-year Bachelor of Science in Forestry (B.Sc. F.) and two-year Master of Science in three different disciplines: Forestry (FOR), Natural Resource Management and Rural Development (NRMRD), and Watershed Management (WM).
The Campus has made a strong base with qualified faculty and support staff dedicated to providing academic instruction, guidance, assistance, and mentoring. Recognizing the role of living environment outside the classroom in students’ total education, the PC maintains conducive environment to their broad intellectual growth and greater participation in the life of the academic community. The Campus takes pride in supportingthe students to achieve their goldengoals, as they remain in constant touch and seek guidance from the faculty and the seniors even after their graduation.
