A highly motivated team of professionals (academicians, artists and technicians) conceived the idea of producing personalities that this nation needed in the field of film industry. Thus, Oscar International College was brought into existence in 2061 B.S. (2005 A.D.). It is affiliated to Tribhuvan University of Nepal. 'Redefining trend in education' being the motto of this college, it strives for excellence. Oscar International College offers a three year Bachelor Level Programme in film studies, i.e BFS (Bachelor in Film Studies). This programme is the first of its kind in Nepal and Oscar is committed to produce Screen Writers, Director, Producers, Actors, Editors and Technicians. Further the College Management has taken an aim of starting Master Level Programme in film studies in the near future. Other Programme like BA and BBS will eventually be added. The programme that we have been running (BFS) is excellent in the sense that it has aesthetic values and helps to develop not only the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your personality but also offers career opportunities in any film media related field and academia. In fact, BFS is the super fusion of art and technology.
