How to Change and Correct Your Name, Surname, and Birth Date on SEE Gradesheet and Certificate ?
The National Examinations Board (NEB) of Nepal, Examination Control Office 10 (SEE), located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has published an important notice regarding the amendment of name, surname, or birth date on Secondary Education Examination (SEE) certificates.
According to the NEB, if the student's name, surname, and date of birth on the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) certificate need to be corrected, it can be done within the next 6 months.According to the 'Age, Name, and Caste Reform Rules, 2017', the student must apply to the Chief District Officer (CDO) within 6 months of receiving the certificate. According to the application, the Board can only make name, surname, and date of birth corrections based on the decision letter and recommendation of the Chief District Officer.
This notice was published on on 2080/03/22, following the publication of the SEE class 10 results on 2080/03/21.
The SEE class 10 examinations were conducted from 2079 Chaitra 17th to Chaitra 29th. As per Section 45 of the Secondary Education Passed Examination Conduct and Management Guideline 2068 (with amendments), students have the provision to amend their name, surname, or date of birth on the SEE grade sheet/certificate. This amendment should align with the details on their admission card/registration certificate or birth certificate/citizenship certificate.
Required Documents for Amendment
For amendments as per the admission card/registration certificate:
> Original admit card or registration certificate
> Original SEE grade sheet and certificate
For amendments as per the birth certificate or citizenship certificate:
> Original SEE grade sheet and certificate
> Copy of birth certificate or citizenship certificate
> Completed judgment sheet issued by the chief district officer of the concerned district
This update is critical for students who have name, surname, or birth date discrepancies on their SEE certificates. It ensures that their academic records are correct and consistent with their legal documents, avoiding any future complications.
As per this year’s results published on Thursday (7 July 2023), of the 484,939 examinees who took the test held in March/April, 22,475 or 4.63 percent graduated with Grade Point Average (GPAs) 3.60 and above. Likewise, 55,069 students qualified to study grade 11 getting the GPAs 3.20 to 3.60, which is 11.36 percent of the total examinees.
The results show 72,262 students secured 2.80 to 3.20 GPAs while the number of graduates managing to get 2.40 to 2.80 GPAs stood at 89,331.
Similarly, 102,293 students got 2.00 to 2.40 GPAs, 88,447 got 1.60 to 2.00 GPAs and 38,770 secured 1.20 to 1.60 GPAs. The board has categorised 13,992 as non-graded, which is 2.89 percent of the total examinees.
