TSC to conduct exams for 17,000 vacancies of teachers soon
Nov. 15: Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has decided to call new vacancies for permanent appointment of teachers for community schools between mid-November to mid-December.The TSC Sunday published its annual calendar that includes the time to publish notice, conduct examinations, announce results and other works for teachers’ appointment and promotion.
According to the newly published calendar, the TSC will conduct the examination for permanent seats earlier than it will conduct permanent teaching license examinations.
The government determines the vacancies of teachers from mid-October to mid-November which has already been done by the government and it has been announced that a total of 17,000 posts of teachers are vacant across the country.
And the first phase examinations for all primary, lower secondary and secondary levels will be held in between February to March while second phase examinations will be held in between mid-April to mid-June. The results of the examinations will be published in between mid-April to mid-June and mid-July to mid-August respectively.
Newly appointed teachers will get in the classes only in between mid-September to mid-October of 2022.
Likewise, TSC publish the notice of open and internal examinations from mid-November to mid-December. The calendar will apply for every year.
Meanwhile, the TSC will publish the notice for permanent license examinations for teachers in between mid-March to mid-April, the examination will held in between mid-June to mid-July and the results will be published in between mid-September to mid-October.
The TSC has published the calendar with an objective to carry out its functions in a systematic manner, Sudarshan Marahatta, spokesperson of the TSC, said.
According to a report recently published by the Centre for Education Human Resource Development (CEHRD), about 17,000 positions of teachers have fallen vacant.The commission has not conducted the examinations for about two years in lack of officials. The present government appointed officials to the TSC in August.
