The Occupational English Test (also known as OET) is an English language test for healthcare professionals recognized by various regulatory healthcare bodies. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. OET is available for the following 12 professions: dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science.

The OET measures all four language abilities – listening, reading, writing, and speaking – with a focus on communication in medical and health-care contexts. The scores are calculated out of 500 for each OET exam then converted to the OET Grading Scale.

The OET course duration and fees varies from institute to institute. Generally, the duration of OET course is 5 to 6 weeks and the fees ranges from 25000 to 35000. Also, institute usually conducts OET mock test every Sunday but some institute conducts mock test as per student’s needs.
