Undergrad Degrees in Australia
According to a research on social mobility which compared and contrasted levels of education and social mobility in the four major English speaking countries, Australia is twice as mobile as the UK and the US.
Undergraduate course in Australia is viable for Nepali students who are planning to go abroad. Australian universities provide different levels of undergraduate qualifications like diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree and bachelor’s degree.
Diploma and advanced diploma courses technically focus on skill building. The diploma program takes approximately two years of full time study while advanced diploma course takes around three years.
Associate degree program takes two years of full time study. Students with an associate degree can also apply for bachelor’s degree in interrelated disciplines.
Bachelor degree programs take three years followed by a graduate entry program of two years for a Masters Degree program on the same area of study. Three-year bachelor degree programs can also be extended to four years with an extra year for an Honors Bachelors Degree.It is also possible for students to obtain a combination bachelor degree taking subjects from two separate degrees. Dual degree courses such as this one takes at least four years.
Australian undergraduate programs focus more on independent learning and research, the top three undergrad specializations being Accounting, Business and Management; Administration and Economics; and Information Systems.
