Course Description:
Ten Plus Two (+2) Management is a two years course which provides a basic knowledge about the facts & principles of the management stream. The course is affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB) and is recognized by the government of Nepal.
The course creates the base for students trying to pursue their career in management field. It is the most sought after disciplines at present for it prepares students to take up managerial responsibilities in all types of organizations by equipping them with essential skills to adapt to any situations. Management learning is a continuous, life long process.
Students learn to become competent, confident, and academically sound in their field of study, giving them the advantage of deciding, at the end of the course, what aspects of business management studies would be of interest to them at the Bachelor's level.
The program provides a solid foundation in management principles and practices and prepares students for further study in the field. Furthermore, the program teaches students the analytical and problem-solving skills required for success in business.
The objectives of the Ten Plus Two (10+2) in Management program are to:
> Develop students’ understanding of the principles and practices of business and management.
> Equip students with analytical and problem-solving skills needed for success in the business world.
> Foster entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.
> Prepare students for higher education in the field of management.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
> Understand the principles and practices of business and management.
> Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world business situations.
> Develop critical thinking and decision-making skills.
> Communicate effectively in written and oral form.
> Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills.
Career Prospects:
After completing a +2 in Management, students may be able to obtain entry-level positions in banking institutions or administrative positions in any private/public institution. The majority of students will be enrolled in Bachelor's level programs in the Management stream. BBA (which is offered by most Nepalese universities such as Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, Purbachal University) or international universities), BBS (Tribhuvan University), BBM, BHM, BTTM, BBA-BI, and so on.
Some of the popular career options: Accountant, Marketing Executive, Human Resource Manager, Entrepreneur, Business Analyst, Financial Analyst and many more.
Admission info
Eligibility
Students interested in Plus Two Management must have the following SEE scores.:
- GPA: 1.6
- At least D+ in English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
The marks (grade) you received in SEE and the marks you obtained in the entrance examination determine your eligibility to enroll in any specific college. To sit for the entrance examination, you must obtain the minimum score (grade) prescribed by the college based on its rank.
Syllabus
The Curriculum Development Center recently unveiled the new 11th and 12th grade curriculum. The new curriculum has done away with the system of specific stream-based education, such as Ten Plus Two Science, Management, Humanities, and so on.
