School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Kathmandu  is duly affiliated to the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) which is a national autonomous apex body of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector committed for the production of technical and skillful human resources required to the nation. SMS has been involved in basic health education to keen students since 2004 AD. It first entered into the health education from its three years’ course of Diploma in Pharmacy (DPH). After few years, certificate in medical laboratory technology (CMLT) was launched and afterward TSLC Lab Assistant Program. Two new programs: Diploma in physiotherapy and civil engineering are in the pipeline.
