Action against private schools charging high education fee
The Department of Education has directed the concerned District Education Committees to take action against the private schools charging high fees.
According to the decision of Fee Management and Monitoring Central Committee, the action would be slapped in different areas of irregularities shown by the Education Ministry's monitoring report developed with a focus on fees, scholarship, textbooks and human resource management issues of 18 private schools of Kathmandu Valley.
Director General of the Department Khagaraj Baral said directive has been issued to concerned District Education Office to book the schools routing the rules.
A joint-secretary led monitoring was carried out in Brihaspati, Galaxy, Occidental, Triyog, Siddhartha Banastahali, White Field, Kastamandap and Holy Vision School of Kathmandu, Rato Bangala, Ideal Model, DAV Sushil Kedia, Shuvatara, Gems School, Little Angels, United and Premier of Lalitpur and Matribhoomi and Rajarshi Gurukul of Bhaktapur.
The Ministry, however, has not yet made public the report.
