" Deputy Prime Minister Nidhi addresses the Ceremony"
DAV Sushil Kedia Anglo- Vedic School, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur distributed six categories of awards to the hundreds of deserving students on 27th May, 2017 in the School premises. The school celebrated silver Jubilee Year in this academic session.
Awards given away to the students are Academic Excellence Award, Best Portfolio Award, Ekalavya Award, P.R.O. Award, Chairman's Gold Star Award and Read to the Principal Award. The School will organize one more ceremony to give away the Character Tree Award and 100% attendance award soon.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minster Mr. Bimalendra Niddhi was the chief guest of the ceremony. Mr. Nidhi appreciated the Vedic education practiced by DAVSKVB School. ‘The fusion of western and eastern model of Education would certainly bring Charismatic leaders in various sectors in the country’, said Nidhi. He also focused to implement research methods in the education. The research will always fill the vacuum in knowledge according to Nidhi. He said every day we take something from the store house of knowledge but if we do not fill again then the store house of knowledge is sure to get empty one day. He said, ‘we are working days and night for the development of the country as equally you are working for the development of education’.
He also addressed on the contemporary situation of the country as well. He said I delayed in programme as I have to be present in negotiation with Nepali Congress, CPN UML and Maoist Center to resolve the ongoing problem for amendments of the constitution and 2nd level election. In the scenario where Madhesi Parties have denied participating in the election, he was rigorously having negotiations with them, Nidhi said. Nidhi did not comment anything in regards to Supreme Court’s decision to show the reason for adding local pools in Terai. But he said, the political parties have to resolve all the problem of Madhesi raised issue concerned with constitutional amendments and to ensure all the elections to be held soon to make country peace and prosperous.
The chairperson Said that DAVSKVB has successfully included Yoga, meditation, Sanskrit language and vipasana as the integral part of academics. He said further that the skill based education in schools were in the European standards as well. The School Principal presented annual report of the academic session 2016-17. On the occasion various songs, dances, act, drama and martial arts were performed on the stage. The cultural performances were as per the multilingual approach of DAVSKVB. The students performed Sanskrit Vandana, Contemporary and Classical dances and songs from the home and abroad.
In the ceremony, the first secretariat from the Embassy of India to Nepal Shree M. Keivom detailed about the scholarship programme granted by the Government of India to the deserving students. Mr. Umesh Shrestha , the parliament member taled about the role of private school in the education in Nepal and Mr. Rajesh Khadka congratulated the School for successfully leading in the field of Education since last 25 years. aThe programme was over with the thanks giving Speech of Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal, the Vice-principal of the School. The guests invited were the parents and principals from the various school of the city.
Meanwhile, the parents were screened the documentary video made in the memory of late. Janardan Ghimire who was Sanskrit Veteran and the CAO of DAVSKVB School.
