Korean Language Test (EPS-TOPIK) Application Open 2023
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Department of Foreign Employment, EPS Korea Branch, Gwarko, Lalitpur has publishes notice reagrding Korean Language Test ( EPS-TOPIK).
Every year, thousands of Nepali youths apply for the Korean language test, the first step for securing jobs in South Korea. South Korea has emerged as a popular job destination for Nepalis in recent years because the country offers better facilities and pay to migrant workers.
Exam Dates:
- Language Test (EPS-TOPIK, UBT Language Test, 1st Round): The test is scheduled for Monday, 22nd January 2080, corresponding to 5th February 2024. Further details about the exam date will be released closer to the event.
- Skill Test (2nd Round): This will follow the publication of the Language Test results. Only those with the highest scores in their respective fields in the first round will qualify for this stage.
Examination Structure:
The language test will be conducted in four shifts in a single day. In case of a high number of applicants, the test may be split into two stages: first and second.
AGE LIMIT:
Nepalese candidate who have completed 18 yrs and should not exceed 39 years of age (Born within 4th Poush 2040 to 3rd Poush 2062).
Application Period:
2 Poush 2080 ( Monday) - 6 Poush 2080 ( Friday) i.e. ( 18 December -22 December 2023)

21 July 2023: Special EPS TOPIK EXAM 2023 (2080) Notice in Nepal
The notice for the 2023 Special Korean Language Test (Special EPS-TOPIK 2023, CBT) has been published by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Department of Foreign Employment, EPS Korea Branch, Gwarko, Lalitpur. The Employment Permit System (EPS) initiative aims to streamline the process of re-engaging workers who have lawfully returned from South Korea.
Eligible Nepali citizens can fill out the online application form who are interested in the list received from HRD Service of Korea and want to join the Special Korean Language Test (Special EPS-TOPIK, CBT).
Documents Required for Application Registration
To complete the application process, the following documents are required:
> Applicants need to upload a color scanned JPG image file (Width 600 pixels, Up to 100KB) of the passport photo page (Bio page) during the application process.
> Only photocopies of MRP passports are accepted. Other document photocopies will not be valid.
> Applicants must provide their email address and mobile number in the application form.
> The application form should contain a recent (less than 3 months old) MRP color photo, with both ears visible, on a white background, upper chest shown, not wearing white clothes. The photo should be scanned and uploaded (Photo Width 100 ~ 300 pixels, File Type: JPEG only Up to 15KB size).
> The passport number used during the stay in Korea must be mentioned in the application. If the passport has expired and a new one has been issued, the numbers of both passports should be provided.
> Applicants can only participate in the Special EPS-TOPIK, CBT exam after paying the exam fee and registering the application form.
Exam Fee
The examination fee is twenty-eight US dollars (US$ 28). Applicants should pay the fee in Nepali Rupees, calculated based on the exchange rate set by the Nepal Rastra Bank a day before the registration. The fee can be paid only through designated online payment providers.
Exam System and Marks Weightage for Special EPS-TOPIK 2023
The EPS-TOPIK will follow an objective multiple-choice format, with the structure as follows:
- Listening: 20 questions, 100 marks
- Reading: 20 questions, 100 marks
- Total: 40 questions, 200 marks
- Exam Duration: 50 Minutes for both sections
