Bomb blast at valley schools: 2 held in connection with explosions
Police have arrested two cadres of Young Communist Force Nepal (YCFN) for their alleged involvement in planting bombs at various schools in the capital on early Tuesday.
“We have arrested two people associated with YCFN for their alleged involvement in planting bombs. We have also recovered a pamphlet of YCFN along with various suspicious objects from the explosion sites,” SSP Bikram Singh Thapa told Republica Online.
Even though Thapa confirmed the arrest of two people, he refused to divulge their names.
According to AIG Pratap Singh Thapa, the improvised bombs were found planted at Radiant School in Lalitpur, Kanchanjanga School in Dallu, Ray School in Bouddha, Akashdeep School, East Pole School and Manakamana School in Kathmandu.
Locals claimed that an explosion went off at Manakamana School at around 3:45am today.
