National Examinations Board (NEB) has said that the results of Grade 12 will only be published on Thursday owing to technical difficulties.

The NEB on Tuesday had said that all preparations had been completed adding that it would publish the results by Wednesday. “We are yet to finalise the process and will publish the results tomorrow,” NEB Chairman Chandra Mani Poudel said, “We encountered some technical glitches so we will not be able to publish the results today.”Around 400,000 students had taken part in this year’s examinations.


According to a source at the NEB, the Exam Controller on Tuesday had informed the NEB Chairman of completing all works for the publishing of the results. However, some board members were absent during a meeting called to finalise the process on Wednesday thus, the delay in publishing the results.“


All works were completed on Tuesday and a demo was also conducted in the presence of board officials,” said the source, “We don’t know what is causing the delay in making the results public.”

This is the first time results of all faculties are being published at a same time. Earlier, results of science faculties were published first followed by other faculties. ( source: the kathmandu post, 1 august 2018)
