Kathmandu University holds its 29th Convocation
December 13: The 29th Convocation of Kathmandu University (KU) was held today in the presence of Prime Minister and University Chancellor Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
According to KU Spokesperson Ekku Maya Pun, 1,838 graduates from various disciplines took part in the first phase of the Convocation ceremony.
Kathmandu University students attend their graduation ceremony in Dhulikhel on Wednesday. 1838 students participated in the first phase of the 29th convocation ceremony of the university.
The Convocation Ceremony was attended by Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister and Chancellor of KU, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, Science and Technology, Ms. Pramila Kumari, and Nepal’s eminent physician Dr. Gouri Shankar Lal Das, as the Chief Guest.
During this Convocation, the University celebrated the first graduate of the Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence program under the School of Engineering. Additionally, eight graduates in the Master of Science in Midwifery Nursing under the School of Medical Sciences and nine representing the Master in Higher Education under the School of Education also attended the ceremony.
Notably, Sanam Dhakal of Birat Medical College, Biratnagar, achieved the highest score of 84.26 percent at the Bachelor's level and was honored with the "Vice Chancellor Gold Medal". Binayak Ghimire from the School of Management, with a 3.89 CGPA in MBA, received the "Judda Bahadur Shrestha Gold Medal".
Ankit Subedi of the School of Management (3.78 CGPA in MBM) and Sanskriti Dhakal of Birat Medical College (80.29 percent in MBBS) were awarded the "Nhuchheratna Tuladhar Gold Medal," while Saugat Bastola of the School of Management, with a 3.97 CGPA at the Bachelor's level, received the "Premraj Panta Gold Medal.
