KMC directs private schools to submit information on fees charged at the +2 level
All private schools in the metropolis have been instructed by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to provide information about the fees charged to students seeking admission to Grades 11 and 12 (+2 levels) for the upcoming academic session 2080/81 BS.
Private schools were asked by KMC in a notice to submit the fee information by the middle of July. According to Section 27 (9) of the KMC Education Act 2075 BS, schools are required to include the decision made by their respective school management committees.
Within the city of Kathmandu, there are 520 private schools currently in operation.
Regulations state that schools must annually submit their fee statements to the metropolis, but many have stopped doing so.
