Nabil SSE launched to address social issues creating sustainable solutions
Nabil Bank launched ‘Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (Nabil SSE)’ amid a programme organised at Tribhuvan University (TU), Kirtipur today.
Nabil SSE is a platform for social entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions through their innovative approach to address social issues and create positive social impact. It is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to promote, develop and support budding social entrepreneurship in Nepal.
The programme held today included a series of events where Vice Chancellor of TU, Dharma Kanta Baskota, was the chief guest.
Meanwhile, the fellowship program will be for six months, for which the bank has established Nabil Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (NCSE) on the premises of TU School of Management.
The bank has also partnered with seven different colleges/universities,— one each from all seven provinces — to run a three-month certificate level course for social entrepreneurs.
Through Nabil SEE, the bank aims to foster socio-economic transformation based on innovative solutions to tackle long term social problems prevailing in the country. In order to create learning programmes under Nabil SEE, the bank has partnered with School for Social Entrepreneurs India (SSE India). SEE India will play a crucial role to encourage and identifying the entrepreneurial capacity among people working towards social impacts.
