Nepal-India Friendship Concert and Award Distribution Ceremony of Sanskriti Bharat
Nepal- India Friendship Concert and Award Distribution Ceremony was organized with grand success with all the safety measures of Covid-19 in DAV School on 21st November.
The programme was organized by Sanskriti Bharat in association with D.A.V Sushil Kedia Vishwo Bharati School and Swami Vivekananda Sanskriti Kendra, Embassy of India, Kathmandu Nepal.
The programme aimed at exploring and enhancing social and cultural relation and ties between the two countries according to Sanskriti Bharat. The key attractions of the programme were award distribution ceremony including the songs, dances and ghajals from the celebrated artists.
During the programme, the Principal of DPS Dharan, Nepal, P .K. Shankar Lingam and Mritunjaya Singh from Nepal- India Friendship School Pokhara, Nepal were honoured with best Principal Award. Similarly, DAV Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal was honoured with Best Vice-principal Award. Few more teachers and artists were also given special recognition during the moment.
Likewise, the prestigious award- ''Bharat Gaurav'' was also bestowed to the celebrated artists of India. The winners of Bharat Gaurav Awards were Dr. Ranjana Jha- Classical Singer from Patna India, Yamini –Kathak dancer from Patna India and Rajani Dube- Indian Folk Artist from Maharashtra India.
Most importantly, 'Nepal- India Friendship Award – 2021' was bestowed to DAV Chairperson Anil Kedia. During the programme he focused that the relation of Nepal and India is a natural in terms of various social, cultural, educational and economic factors and said interpretation carried less importance.
The chief guest of the programme was Chairperson of Democratic Socialists Party Mahanta Thakur. He was accompanied by former minister Anil Kumar Jha. Similarly, Nabin Kumar – First Secretary (Press, Information and Culture) from Embassy of India, Kathmandu graced the programme.
A total of 30 Indian Artists along with a Nepali team performed outstanding songs and ghazals and dances.
Likewise representatives from Sanskriti Bharat, Swami Vivekananda Sanskriti Kendra also presented their studies about Nepal-India relation.
The first Lady Sunita Kedia, DAV Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao and all the teachers and staff of DAV School were there to extend hospitality to all the dignitaries and spectators during the programme.
