PU's convocation held
Biratnagar: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai awarded 22 students of various faculties with gold medals during the sixth convocation ceremony of the Purbanchal University at Gothgaun in Morang district on Wednesday.
Among the students, Numraj Khanal, who scored the highest marks in MA in Mass Communication and Journalism from Kantipur City College in Kathmandu, bagged 'Om Prakash Goyal Gold Medal'.
Khanal is a journalist associated with the Kantipur daily, a sister publication of the Post. Meanwhile, Youth Association Nepal, the youth wing of the CPN-UML, and activists of All Nepal National Free Students Union greeted Bhattarai with black flags at Itahari in Sunsari.
Bhattarai was on his way to attend the convocation programme.
