The 'Mentorship Week' at Islington College
The ‘Mentorship Week’ organized by the Hult Prize Foundation at Islington College, Kathmandu has been a huge success. Starting on the 22nd of November and completed on the 27th of November 2020, the mentorship sessions are part of the main event that consists of on-campus events. The Hult Prize On-Campus Director for Islington College, Sadiksha Giri, a 2nd year BSc (Hons) Computing student, was instrumental in facilitating the brilliant execution of “Mentorship Week”. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all events were conducted online for the safety of all participants.
To groom the participants for their entrepreneurial journey, the mentorship sessions consisted of experts in their field, who were able to provide valuable insights to the participating teams displaying various skillsets and ideas. The topics and experts that were invited to the week-long session were:
22nd November:
“Presentation Skills”, mentored by Mr Santosh Pandey, Co-founder of Offering Happiness.
23rd November:
“Idea Generation”, mentored by Mr Navniet Verma, Executive Chef at a restaurant in Kathmandu.
24th November:
“Technology and Startups”, mentored by Mr Aditya Khati, Co-founder at CryptoGen Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
25th November:
“Networking and Communication”, mentored by Ms Faija Parween, Founder at Open Space Network.
26th November:
“Team and Team Building”, mentored by Mr Prakash Shrestha, CEO at Herald College Kathmandu.
27th November: “
Food for Heart”, mentored by Dr Dikshya Joshi, Cardiac Surgeon at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center.
The “Mentorship Week” has been a triumph in incubating exciting new ideas and opportunities to aid the participants in their journey!
The committee looks forward to the Panel Discussions set for the 1st of December!
