Tribhuvan University Notice on the Equivalency of Foreign Degrees
The Curriculum Development Center (CDC) at Tribhuvan University has issued an important notice regarding the equivalency of degrees earned at foreign universities. According to the CDC, students who completed their higher education abroad but did not meet the specified criteria will be ineligible for academic equivalency.
The university specifically stated that equivalency would not be granted if:
- Students enrolled in bachelor's programs prior to receiving their Grade XII results.
- Students who were not admitted to a formal university took first-semester exams.
- They used a "single entry" system for semester exams without going through the required admissions process.
- The degree was earned in four years or less, despite the fact that programs typically take longer.
- More than two regular semester exams were taken during a single academic year.
As per notice, Students and stakeholders are requested by TU to comply with the aforementioned conditions in order to avoid difficulties obtaining degree equivalency.
