International Student Scholarship (ISS) Merit Scholarship
Unique among public research institutions, Old Dominion University offers a renewable (up to four years) undergraduate merit scholarship. Awards are up to $16,000 USD annually to qualified applicants.

Eligibility & Terms
> Cumulative, U.S. equivalent 3.25 grade point average (GPA)
> Newly admitted (never previously enrolled at ODU)
> Pursue an initial Bachelor's degree
> Valid non-immigrant visa status
> Ineligible for Virginia in-state tuition rates
> ISS covers only degree seeking courses
> Apply by April 15 (fall) or October 1 (spring)
Supplemental Materials
> One (1) page essay indicating academic intent and personal goals
> TOEFL & SAT are optional, though highly recommended
Renewal
> Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters)
> Full-time enrollment (at least 12 credit hours for both the Fall and Spring terms)
> Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25
