Scholarships and Quotas in CTEVT
The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), established in 1989 (2045 BS), is a national autonomous apex body of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector dedicated to producing technical and skilled human resources for the nation. It primarily entails policy formulation, quality control, the development of competency-based curriculum, the development of skill standards for various occupations and the testing of people's skills, the conduct of various research studies, and the assessment of training needs, among other things.
The CTEVT has a yearly intake system, and admission applications are called after the publication of SLC/SEE results. Students must select, apply for, and take an entrance examination before being admitted to their desired institute.
Minimum requirements for admission for Diploma/Certificate programs :
For Health related progams :
- 2 GPA out of 4.0 in SEE with compulsory English, Mathematics and Science subjects in the exam.
For Other Non Health Programs:
- 1.6 GPA out of 4.0 in SEE with compulsory English, Mathematics and Science subjects in the exam.
Minimum requirements for admission for Pre-Diploma programs :
- Students who have passed the SEE/SLC level will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the mark-sheet/grade-sheet submitted by them.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
CTEVT provides three categories of Scholarship. These are Classified Scholarship,Merit Scholarship and Special Program. Following the publication of SEE results, CTEVT publishes a Classified Scholarship Entrance Notice for Pre-Diploma and Certificate/Diploma programs each year.
CTEVT has distributed thousands of scholarships to deserving students to study in various programs; scholarships in each program vary according to the total enrollment quota.
1. Classified Scholarship
The Classified Scholarship from CTEVT is awarded to students from Community/Government Schools, women, Dalits, ethnic groups, martyrs, former Kamaiya (poorly paid tenant), Haliaya (poorly paid ploughman), Conflict Victims, and other disadvantaged groups. Applications are collected by province through selected institutes and provincial offices, and an entrance exam is held. CTEVT assigns institutes to merit students in each category based on their applications and institute preferences. Each institute is required to provide classified scholarships to two students for programs with a total quota of 30, three students for programs with a total quota of 40, and four students for programs with a total quota of 48. The total number of seats in the province is first calculated and divided by the percentage.

2. Merit Scholarship
The Merit Scholarship scholarship from CTEVT is awarded to the best performing student in each program of the entrance exam from among all competitors who fill out the form as full fee payers in the respective school and college. This is true for first-year admission, but for second- and third-year scholarships, the previous year's / semester's results will be used as the basis for scholarship.
3. Special Program
This is an annual program in which 500 students are chosen from the Dalit, Muslim, marginalized, and remote areas through a separate entrance process, and classes are held at a predetermined institute. Students' total fees, as well as hostel and fooding facilities, are waived.

Documents needed while submitting Application Form
> Nepali Citizenship or Birth Certificate
> Class 8 Mark sheet
> You will need a passport-sized color photo having a size of 35*45mm. The photo size should be a minimum of 8kb and a maximum of 50 kb.
> SEE character certificate or SEE examination entrance receipt
> A copy of the citizenship certificate or any official identification document issued by the Government of Nepal.
> A copy of the recommendation letter from the concerned authority for the full-fee reserved quota*.
