Samaritan’s Purse is an international relief organization that provides relief to people affected disaster, disease, war and poverty around the world in Nepal since 2015.
We are seeking for a qualified and dynamic Nepal national to join Samaritan’s Purse office in Kathmandu and other working districts for the positions below.
Position: Senior Humanitarian Affairs Manager
No. of requirements: 1
Duty Station: Kathmandu Office
Key responsibilities:
>Direct line management of Program Managers
>Provide support in developing effective approaches to capacity building of local partners to ensure the maximum increase in technical expertise and sustainability of partner organizations.
>Ensure high quality and accurate reporting to SP International headquarters, the government of Nepal and donors in a timely manner and will provide professional representation at external meetings with government, donor and civil service partners.
>Assist the country Director in oversight of day operations, including hosting teams and visitors.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
>Master’s Degree in Administration/ Management, or related field
>Good level of language proficiency in English and Nepali
>At least 5 years of experience in a similar role for an Int’l NGO (strongly preferred)
>willing to travel and work in remote areas
Position: Anti-trafficking coordinator
No. of requirement: 1
Duty Station: Kathmandu Office
Key responsibilities:
>Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with agreed work plan and proposal
>Build the capacity of project staff through on-job training, mentoring and coaching
>Collaborate and network with SPN Project Managers, with stakeholders such as Willow International, churches, different government offices and NGOs
>Submit monthly and quarterly reports to SP Nepal country office, local government and donor, including activity summary, progress against objectives, achievements to date, issues faced, impact stories and financial expenditure.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
>Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Development Studies or other related fields
>At least 4 years of working experience in a similar role for an Int’l NGO (strongly preferred)
>The position requires experience of working with vulnerable/exploited people and an in-depth knowledge of human trafficking
>Direct experience managing partnerships
Position: Sub-Engineer
No. of requirement: 6
Duty Station: Gorkha/Kavre/Rasuwa
Key responsibilities:
>Provide technical assistance for project activities of the Shelter/Reconstruction project
>Facilitate mason and build back better trainings at the community level
>Conduct and maintain current site assessments to ensure security of team and resources
>Provide technical advice to community members, project partners and district level government in relation to the project activities.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
>Completion of Intermediate degree preferably in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant field.
>Prior experience will be an advantage
>Good understanding of English and Nepali Language skills at business level
>Ability to facilitate trainings, seminars, meetings
