Job Summary
Perform cheque clearing activities in the bank. Majorly screen Foreign Currency cheques for sanctions in bank system, check for updates, handle any “Request for Information (RFI)” , follow up with stakeholders and perform reconciliation of sanctions screening report. Perform Electric Cheque Clearing activities in bank system, send out return advice and dispatch returned cheques to relevant branches, update the details in bank system and track the same. Process and track transactions triggered from digital channels in bank’s system.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that processing capabilities are geared up to achieve accuracy as per the service level standards and strive to exceed the standards focusing on excellent service. - Ensure to adhere to the procedures set in the operating manuals in order to achieve optimum efficiency in the conduct of their jobs. Handle exceptions from the norms and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that all queries related to routine activities are responded to within the time frames pre specified
- Keep Supervisors advised of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action
- Ensure that all laid down procedures, central bank regulation and key control standards are adequately followed
- Ensure timely understanding and compliance with all the applicable regulations of the bank, group and country including money laundering prevention and Client Due Diligence

Qualifications
