30 SLC grads win scholarships
Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA)’s two-month long talent hunt programme selected 30 SLC graduates for a full basketball scholarship on Saturday.
The selected players - 24 boys and six girls - will receive full scholarship in six different colleges of Kathmandu and will also receive basketball trainings on a regular basis.
The selected players will play in the senior national team of Nepal, said NeBA at a press meet. Since 2005 - the year when the programme came into being - NeBA has provided scholarship to 250 students in various higher secondary colleges of Kathmandu.
This year 220 students had participated in the talent hunt program and 30 best students were selected by the NeBA’s selection committee.
The final 30 students will be provided full scholarships in seven different colleges, including Nobel Academy, Morgan International College, Premier College, Xavier International, White House International College and VS Niketan.
