314 students deprived of appearing in SLC exams
Parbat: As many as 114 students, who have filled registration forms from Parbat district, are deprived of appearing in the SLC examination that will be started from Thursday.
According to the Education Act, a student should have 75 per cent attendance in class 10 to appear in the SLC examination, but 114 of them are not found meeting the necessary criteria, said Ghanashyam Paudel, District Education Officer in Parbat. They will not be allowed to attend the SLC examination this year.
A total of 3,994 examinees will be attending the SLC examinations from Parbat. Of them, 2,123 are boys while 1,868 are girls. For this, the Office has managed 19 superintendents, 21 assistant superintendents, 162 anvigilators, 56 aides, and 190 security personnel in the district.
Meanwhile in Pyuthan, around 200 students have been deprived of attending the SLC examinations from Pyuthan district due to the same reason.
The District Education Office, Pyuthan, stated that a total of 4,460 examinees would attend the exams this year.
