50 students pass SLC after retotalling scores
Bhaktapur: Fifty students, who had received failing scores in the School Leaving Certificate supplementary examinations held in the year 2014, have passed after retotalling their scores.
The Office of the Controller of the Examinations today published the retotalled scores of the examinees who had applied for retotalling.
According to Office of the Controller of Examinations, a total of 2,155 students had applied for retotalling. Changes were made in the scores of 54 students after retotalling.
Bishnu Bahadur Dware, examination controller, OCE, said 50 examinees got through the SLC supplementary examinations after retotalling.
According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, changes were made in the scores of 24 examinees in science, 16 in compulsory mathematics, eight in English and three each in social studies and optional mathematics. The SLC examinees who had failed in a maximum of two subjects were allowed to appear in the supplementary examinations.
“Only 50 students have failed in one subject. So, as they have passed after retotalling their scores, they can join Grade XI now,” he added.
He further said that those not satisfied with their scores would be allowed apply to reassess their answer sheets by October 25.
