The supporters of the Nepali Congress (NC) affiliated Nepal Student Union (NSU) have already hit the streets demanding the TU to play constructive role for announcing the fresh poll date.
The NSU coordinator Ranjeet Karna mentioned that the TU needs to jointly organize a meeting of all 13 student unions to settle the ongoing disputes, which has created distance between the student unions.
The NSU supporters and student cadres also staged a sit-in at the TU premise on Tuesday to pressurize the TU officials. The students affiliated to CPN-Maoist aligned All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary have been staging protests at the college premise since Friday.
The unions have been blaming each other for mass admissions to win the election. However, the college authorities have initially said that the student unions admitted around 3000 students in seven colleges spending more than Rs 12 million targeting election.
