Actress Shrestha celebrates Environment Day with deaf students
Actress Namrata Shrestha celebrated the World Environment Day on Thursday with deaf students at the Central Deaf Higher Secondary School in Kathmandu.
“It was great opportunity to rejoice with deaf and differently-abled youths, ,” said Shrestha after observing the water color painting competition, “I am very much impressed by their artworks.”
One of the much talked actress of Nepali film industry Shrestha, who is busy in her upcoming movies, said that deaf and differently-abled should be provided with opportunities.Roshan Kumar Shrestha stood first in the competition participated by 19 youths and jointly organized by Chiya Guff Team and Rotaract Club of Bharatapur. Namgel Doma Shrepa and Lapka Dolpa Shrepa became second and third respectively.
On the occasion, singer Shashi Rawal helped students in sketching paintings on the theme “Painting for world conservation, healthy planet is our rights.”
Jayanti Gyawali of Chiya Guff said that the program was organized to provide a platform to deaf and differently-abled youths to expose their talents.
