ANNFSU education meet begins today
Kathmandu: CPN-UML aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) is organising a national education conference from tomorrow.
At a press meet today, ANNFSU said they will hold discussion on various educational topics for 16 days.
Madhav Dhungel, ANNFSU president, said, “Probably this is the longest conference on education.” He said experts from different sectors would present papers on various topics.
Bharat Pahadi will present a paper on technical education, Pabitra Limbu on pre-primary education, Baburam Adhikari on informal education, Lekhnath Poudel on school education, Upendra Koirala on university education and Shankar Pokharel on national education policy. Each topic woill be discussed at length for two days.
ANNFSU will forward important conclusions to Constituent Assembly chairperson Subas Nembang to be incorporated in the new constitution.”
They plan to hold national level discussion from mid-August to mid-September on the conclusions drawn from the discussion. Dhungel said the conclusion will be submitted to the government to put pressure to change the educational policy.
