Norvic Educations, a division of the Chaudhary Group, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Edith Cowan University (ECU), one of the leading universities of Australia.

Basant Kumar Chaudhary, chairman of the Norvic Educations and Prof Kerry O Cox, Vice-Chancellor and President, ECU, Australia signed the MoU. ECU has pledged to provide Norvic with international standard courses in Nursing, Management, Information Technology and Engineering.

Students studying in the academic institutions under Norvic will initially study in Nepal and later go to Australia to complete the courses and receive the Australian University degree certificates. Chaudhary said, “This programme is cost effective for Nepali students and parents,” adding, “Nepali students can receive international standard education at affordable price.”

ECU, a public university established in 1982 with the motto ‘Freedom through education’, has been providing more than 400 courses through two Metropolitan Colleges, namely Mount Lawley and Joondalup.

Prof Tony Watson, deputy vice chancellor (International), ECU, said an MoU like this one offers a golden opportunity for students and academic institutions to share their knowledge and experiences.

He expressed hope that this will also provide a forum for Nepali students to show their capacity and talents in Australia and brighten their future.
