Campus chief's office vandalised
Chitwan: Student unions of various political parties vandalised the campus chief’s office at the University of Agriculture and Forestry in Rampur to protest the use of college vehicles for the ongoing UCPN (Maoist) convention of in Hetauda.
The agitating students also vandalised the campus chief’s vehicle.
As a result of the dispute between student unions, ongoing examinations of veterinary and agriculture faculties have been obstructed. “I am living in a hostel but could not attend the examination due to the agitation,” said Sandip Timilsina from Parbat. “We took to the streets after college vehicle was taken to the Maoists’ convention,” said Chiranjivi Pantha, college unit committee chairman a student union affiliated to the CPN-UML.
The agitating side has been demanding resignation of the campus chief and resumption of examinations.
