CIAA action against bogus school
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case at the Special court on Thursday against School Management Committee Chairman Lal Babu Raya and Headmaster Bindu Kumari Yadav for setting up a bogus school in Simara VDC-5 of Sarlahi district.
The anti-graft constitutional watchdog moved the court against the duo for misusing government funds through the non-existential school. Issuing a statement, the CIAA said that the duo were found not to have submitted income and expenditure details as well as not annual audit of the school. While, filing the charge sheet, the CIAA has sought a fine of Rs 249,052 from the accused in line with the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002.
Similarly, the CIAA filed case against former assistant sub inspector of police Sambhunath Upadhyay deployed at Maghgawa police station in Rupandehi on the charge of submitting fake certificate to join the police service.
Upadhyaya was found to have acquired fake academic certificate of the intermediate level from Sampurnananda Sanskrit University at Baranasi of India. The CIAA has sought maximum punishment from the accused.
