Civil engineering to be taught in school level
Bhakapur: Civil engineering will also be taught in the Shree Padma Higher Secondary School in Bhaktapur district from the current academic session.
According to government quota, the school started the subject for the first time in school level in the whole of Kathmandu valley, said school principal Ram Hada.
The school started civil engineering, computer engineering, agriculture science and electronics from Class nine as per government policy of extending technical education in schools.
Under the course, there will be 1,000 full mark, of which, 600 will be that of civil engineering.
This was as per the government policy of generating manpower in school itself, said Resource Person Prem Gopal Karmacharya. The classes will be for 40 students in the first year.
