Community schools in south belt, Kathmandu, producing good results
Community schools in south belt of Kathmandu have been producing good results in SLC examinations since few years.
At a time when the results of most of the community schools across the country is found deteriorating every year, the community schools in the south belt of Kathmandu are heading towards a positive path.
As per the recently published SLC results, most of the community school in the south belt have produced more than 60 per cent pass results and some of them have also produced cent percent pass results.
General Secretary of the School Campaign, Pharping, Niroj Shrestha, said that students and guardians have been attracted towards the community schools gradually after the schools started producing good results.
He said that out of 28 students, who appeared SLC examinations conducted from March 20 this year, 11 passed with distinction and the remaining secured the first division.
Shrestha added that the quality of education increased at the community schools in recent days have attracted the students and guardians, who were compelled to go to private school in search of quality education, gradually.
Headmaster at Setidevi Secondary School, Sokhel, Ram Kumar Basnet, the SLC pass rate has increased every year at the community schools in the belt after community schools start launching SLC preparation classes and educational quality development programme.
