ECAN Fair starts Aug 18
The Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) is set to hold the fifth ECAN Educational Fair at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu from August 18 to 21. Presented by The Kathmandu Post, the event will be managed by The Event Organizer and Manager of Kathmandu Exhibitions (EOM-KE).
Conceived as the largest educational fair, this four-day event is directed at students aspiring to study abroad and their parents. The exhibitors will provide right and relevant information to the visitors on the available academic degrees, thus making it easier for them to choose from among a wide array of study destinations.
The event intends to act as a forum to bring together Nepali consultants where they can interact with students, parents and international academic institutions. Similarly, it can assist policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders concerned with recent developments in higher studies abroad.
ECAN counsellors will advise visitors on study courses available in the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, India, Ireland, Switzerland, Philippines, China and other countries. Also, students can obtain information about preparatory classes, bridge courses and scholarship schemes offered by colleges and universities abroad. The fair will help them learn about current channels adopted in Nepal for studying abroad, application procedures, the academic atmosphere in foreign nations and their educational system and rules and regulations.
The fair will consist of 125 participants including domestic and foreign colleges, universities and consultancies, diplomatic missions and business institutions. The event aims to attract 120,000 visitors. The fair will be open from 11 am to 6 pm. The event has been sponsored by The British College.
