Fake pupils seeking SLC results
Bhaktapur: Though the Office of Controller of Examinations had cancelled the registration of 530 fake SLC examinees in November last year, dozens of them have frequented the OCE demanding their results.
It was also revealed that the excluded students had appeared in the exam without admit cards with the help of concerned schools and exam superintendents.
Claiming that names of six students were mistakenly omitted from the OCE register, Gauri Shankar Yadav, who claimed himself to be the brother of student Neelam Kumari Yadav, has regularly visited OCE, demanding latter’s mark-sheet and certificate.
He has been frequenting the office since the SLC result was published on June 20.
Neelam appeared in last year’s SLC exam from Nepal Rastriya Higher Secondary School, Kabahi Jagat VDC-9, Bara, according to Gauri Shankar, who is also a member of the school management committee.
The OCE found that out of 385 students registered for the exam from the school, 285 were fake.
Gauri Shankar claimed that six students, including his sister, were genuine and reasoned OCE must have declared them fake by mistake.
Dharmendra Kumar Yadav, Punam K Yadav, Bhagawan Giri, Sanjiv Kumar Patel and Om Prakash Sharaf were the other students from his school whose registrations were cancelled.
Bara District Education Officer Ram Binaya Singh said headmaster Laxmi Narayan Yadav had forwarded the list of some students saying they were genuine.
