Far-Western University to begin postgraduate courses in three subjects
The Far-western University is preparing to introduce three new courses in the master’s level from this academic session.“The university has already started classes of seven subjects in the bachelor’s level. We will now add three new courses, including civil engineering, in the master’s level,” Jayaraj Awasthi, vice-chancellor of the university, said while addressing a press meet in the district on Wednesday.
He said the first semester examinations of the bachelors’ level concluded on Tuesday and the curriculum of bachelor’s level subjects for the second academic session has already been prepared.“We are working to start classes of 21 subjects under education faculty in the bachelor’s and master’s levels,” he said. He also shared challenges of the university since its establishment and informed about its academic activities in the meet.
Awasthi said his office will start constructing physical infrastructures from the next fiscal year and the Town Development Committee has provided 12 bighas of land for the same.He, however, said the work has been delayed as a case has been filed at the Supreme Court concerning seven bighas of land belonging to the university.
