Global Career Boutique starts today
Prominent universities, colleges and educational institutions from India have teamed up to showcase their strengths at the largest fair of Indian academic institutions under one roof.
Over two dozen renowned institutions from various parts of India will exhibit their services in the 7th Global Career Boutique 2013 and Indian Education and Career Expo that will kick off at Baneshwor-based Everest Hotel on Friday.
Organised by Global Education Counselling Centre (GECC), the fair will be inaugurated by Lal Mani Joshi, secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Supply. The event will provide a platform for students with career counselling directly by representatives from prominent academic institutions from India.
It will also help Nepali students learn about the Indian education system, courses of study and scholarship offered by the Indian institutions they wish to study.
Apart from featuring the best academic institutions, the fair also provides the facilities of spot admission and education loan along with scholarships to the deserving students.
The event ensures all information about the Indian education system and interactions among institution representatives, parents and students in Nepal, said Neeta Yogi, academic coordinator at GECC. The two-day fair is expected to receive around 10,000 footfalls, mainly those who wish to study undergraduate and post graduate courses.
GECC has been organising the fair for the last seven years, helping over 8,000 students in getting admissions in Indian colleges and universities.
