Govt to mark first Science Day
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment and other concerned bodies working in the field of science are organising the first ‘National Science Day’ on Tuesday in Kathmandu.
Commemorating the establishment day of Amrit Science Campus (Ascol), the government decided to celebrate the first ever Science Day in the country. Ascol, located at Lainchaur in Kathmandu is the first public science campus in the country and was formerly known as Public Science College. Later, the college was renamed Amrit Science Campus.
According to the organisers from Ascol, a rally will be organised on Tuesday morning from Tri-Chandra Campus in Ghantaghar to the Ascol premises. Similarly, the ministry is organising a programme at the National Academy Hall in the afternoon.
