Grade 11 examinations begin today
Bhaktapur: This year's Grade 11 examination of Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) has commenced from Tuesday all over the country. The examination runs from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
Some 435,018 students are participating in the examination. There are 265,457 students in regular and 169, 457 in exempted categories, said Board's Examination Controller Durga Aryal.
There are 217, 175 boys and 117, 843 girl students and there are 932 examinations centres in the country, he said.
Security arrangement has been made stricter with coordination with the security bodies, said Aryal.
“We have decided to lodge public offence cases against parents who encourage their wards to adopt unfair means in the examinations,” said Hem Kumar Mishra, HSEB vice-chairman.
“Teachers, officials and security personnel involved in such practices will be booked under the Public Offence Act.” As per the Act, anyone adopting unfair means and breaching the examination code of conduct can be jailed for six months or fined up to Rs 100,000 or face both punishment.
